Coming to Sporto 2016 are Tanya Joseph, director of business partnerships in Sport England (who, among other things, leads an exceptional campaign for greater involvement of women in sports activities, “This Girl Can”) and Matt Rogan, president of sports marketing agency Two Circles, whose innovative approach and use of data in building value of sports organizations led it to become a leading agency in this field, and has recently become part of the WPP group.
Tanya Joseph joined Sport England in 2012, where as head of business partnerships she is responsible for all communication, commercial partnerships and campaigns. Tanya has lived her professional career in the field of communications. She has spent four years in the office of the Prime Minister of Great Britain, and later as a strategic adviser she worked with clients such as Tesco, Mars, Heinz, the Royal Mint, De Beers and Sir Robert McAlpine. Marketing Week recently named her the Marketing Personality of the Year, and AdAge marked her as one of the leading women in marketing with inclusion on AdAge’s Women to Watch.
According to an independent research, the campaign “This Girl Can” in England “convinced” 1.6 million women to start practicing, while 2.8 million have become more active thanks to the influence of the campaign. #ThisGirlCan videos have over 37 million views on YouTube and Facebook, the campaign was talked about in 110 countries in the world, it won numerous awards, including the Cannes Lion.
At Sporto conference, Tanya will offer a detailed insight into the strategy, activities and results of the campaign.
Matt Rogan began his career in the NBA. He co-founded the Two Circles agency five years ago, which now employs 75 people in four offices worldwide and services clients in ten countries. Slogan Data Driven Sport personifies their orientation and focus on the importance of data for marketing activities and product development. Three times in a row, over the last three years, Two Circles has been nominated for the best agency in England, and was awarded in 2014 at the prestigious Sport Industry Awards. In 2015, the agency became part of WPP, the leading communications group in the world, led by Sir Martin Sorrell. Together with the agency IEG (known as a longtime organizer of the leading sponsorship conference in Chicago), is a key part of the newly formed company ESP Properties, which collaborates with the leading sports organizations such as the All Blacks, the Detroit Red Wings or the Cleveland Cavaliers. At the Conference, Matt will present his view on the development of sponsorship as a business and marketing discipline, which drastically changed in recent years, and will share his view on what the future holds. Matt is a speaker at many conferences worldwide. He is an author for the Harvard Business Review and co-author of the book on Olympic Games in the UK, Britain and the Olympic Games: Past Present Legacy.
