The nineteenth media trends conference SEMPL will be held on 23 and 24 November 2017 in Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portoroz. The organisers are expecting more than thousand participants and there will be over twenty international speakers. The talks will be focused on most prominent trends shaping the future of the media and communication industry.
Non linear marketing for more intimate relationship with consumers
Jamie Turner, the internationally renowned writer, speaker, CNN correspondent and 60 SecondMarketer.com blogger, will be talking about non linear marketing used by some of the most contemporary fashion brands.
Creatives or imitators
The mysterious French blogger, Joe La Pompe will be sharing his knowledge and experience. He unveils adverts that had almost identical creative idea to those of different agencies at different times. Dave Birss, a British speaker, creative thinker and writer will be presenting how best to come up with new ideas.
Using words to be above the average
Susie Dent, a British TV personality and lexicographer will be talking about creative and calculated use of language. She will try to explain the importance for your message to be above the average thereby getting noticed and staying noticed by consumers. Ben Maher, the commercial director UK’s JCDecaux will be speaking about importance of being noticed and digital future of OOH advertising.
Technology – here and now
Nick Bicanic, the director and founder of RVLVR, one of the greatest visionaries of mobile technology in Silicon Valley, who creates stories in virtual reality, will be talking about the future of the key screenless media. Crt Podlogar, a digital strategist in Slovenian digital agency Red Orbit, will explain about changes in purchasing decisions, and transferring from TV to mobile platforms.
Sneha Nagesh, the PHD Global Business’ global director for research marketing will try to explain the gap between people and technology. Justin Rezvani, the founder and director of American company theAmplify and Marija Mijatovic, of Represent Communications (Serbia) an expert in PR communications, will present the influencer marketing, the latest hot topic in Slovenia and elsewhere. Jan Jilek, the director of Croatian Dotmetrics and Boris Rogan, the director of advertising agency TBWA Zagreb, will be talking about trust and deception, relevant metrics and transparency.
For an effective future
Andreas Schwabe, the director of Blackwood Seven, will be talking about the future of advertising agencies and ways of using artificial intelligence in strategic media planning. Jon Watts, the executive partner and co-founder of UK’s MTM will be talking about the next ten years for media marketing. John Dalton, the director of UK’s LSPR and LSPR Worldwide will be speaking about managing and reasons for (non) effectiveness.
Workshops: from digital marketing to overcoming stereotypes
There will be eight workshops at SEMPL. Igor Pauletic, the founder and director of FrodX Slovenia and Matija Jamnik, co-founder of JK Group Slovenia will be holding a workshop on digital marketing and technology. The founder and director of Mayer McCann Slovenia, Marko Majer will be talking about what is it that moves generation Y in the advertising industry. Slavoljub Stankovic, the creative director of Mercator-S from Serbia, will present his views on brands. Sasa Stankovic, the director of online sales of Croatian FOREO, will be talking about changing marketing strategies using technology. Igor Mali, the operational director of iProm and Dragoslav Radin, Beenius’ general director will be talking about the future of TV. Vasja Grabner, Slovenian AV studio art director, will focus on losing stereotypes to become more effective. A team of trainers DIMAQ will be explaining that web analysis is not necessarily complicated. They will also show how to become internationally certified expert in digital marketing for IAB Europe and talk about legislative challenges and obstacles for media industry.
