19th SEMPL Media Trends Conference, which will take place on 23 and 24 November 2017 in Portorož, will once again include the awards for the best media strategy of the year, the Sempler awards – eleven gold awards and the biggest prize, the Grand Sempler, await the best of the best. “We are pleased that the Sempler contest has received such a great response from the region. We received record 89 entries from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are delighted with the excellent response of the applicants in both new categories – the Best PR Strategy or Promotion and the Best Tech Approach,” said Valerija Prevolšek, president of SEMPL and director of Media Pool.
Creative and media agencies, media strategists, advertisers and media from the Adriatic region entered the highest number of works in the categories of Innovative Use of Communication Channel and the Best Targeted Action (with 14 entries in each), followed by the Best Social Action (12 entries) and this year’s new category the Best PR Strategy or Promotion with ten reported projects.
Most projects running for the Sempler awards came from the advertising agency Grey Ljubljana, with eleven entries, followed by New Moment New Ideas Company from Belgrade and Slovenian Futura DDB with seven projects.
Deciding on the best media projects in the Adriatic region will be a nine-member jury composed of distinguished experts from the region who come from agencies and clients. Chairman of the jury, Darko Ivančević, Global Vice President of the Staropramen brand in Molson Coors, will be joined by Aleksandra Dilevska, executive director of the PublicisOne advertising agency and director of the Adriatik region, Marija Matić, director of media planning in the Serbian media agency Direct Media, Damjan Planinc, director and founder of the digital media agency Get Interactive, Viktorija Radojevic, marketing director at Mercator, Hrvoje Rein, marketing director at L’Oreal Serbia, Žarko Sakan, director of the New Moment advertising agency, Tamara Slapar, director of the media agency Medialog and Daniel Vuković, the chief creative director at the McCann Zagreb advertising agency.
The winners will be known at a ceremony that will take place on Thursday, November 24, 2017 at 20.30h in the GH Bernardin hotel in Portorož.
