EVENTS THIS WEEK: CREATIVE REPUBLIC IN BIHAĆ AND CONFERENCE FOCUS IN TERME TUHELJ
On 14th and 15th of September, Bihać, Bosnia and Herzegovina, will host the Creative Republic conference, dedicated to advertising. The conference will actually open on September 13 at 20.00hrs with the exhibition of the Slovenian designer Žare Kerin, at the City Gallery.
Within the Creative Republic, the Enver Krupić Gallery will also host the exhibition by Imelda Ramović (Studio Mireldy) with the theme Monument to Monuments.
Speakers at the Creative Republic, which will be held in the AVNOJ Museum, will be: Damir Ciglar (Imago Ogilvy), Jelena Fiškuš i Sean Poropat (Studio Sonda), Vanja Blumenšajn (Señor), Boro Miljanović (Represent Communications), Imelda Ramović (Mireldy), Sanda Mešinović ()Armin Flisar (DreamEthic Change), Ivanka Mabić i Maja Čulig (Addiko banka), Ivana Mlinarić (Tele 2), Robert Pešić (Saatchi&Saatchi Zagreb) and Ekrem Dupanović (Media Marketing).
On 13th and 14th of September, another conference will be held, but in Terme Tuhelj, where 4th edition of the specialized international conference on innovation and communication in public administration and public companies, FOCUS, will take place.
The conference is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts and the Croatian Association of Counties, with the support of the Croatian Public Relations Association.
After successful conferences in Tuhelj in December last year, and then in Sarajevo and Belgrade this year, the organizer decided that the fourth edition of this international event will last two days.
The price of one day’s registration with the lunch included is 106,6 EUR + VAT or 213,2 EUR + VAT for two days.

SLOVENIAN AGENCY ‘PM, POSLOVNI MEDIJI’ IS THE BEST SMALL AGENCY FOR CONTENT MARKETING
After three consecutive placements in the finals, Slovenian agency PM, Poslovni mediji, part of the German agency group C3, managed to reach the finish line. At the international conference Content Marketing World, held recently in Cleveland (USA), PM has won the prestigious title of the Agency of the Year (with less than 100 employees).
The Content Marketing World conference also proclaimed the Agency of the Year with more than 100 employees, which was won by the US agency MSP-C from Minnesota, which is part of the MSP Communications group.
OF THE TEN MOST READ MAGAZINES IN SERBIA, COLOR PRESS GROUP PUBLISHES SEVEN OF THEM
According to research conducted by IPSOS from 1 to 30 June 2018 – of the 10 most popular magazines in Serbia – the Color Press Group issues seven. The survey was conducted on a sample of 4.373 citizens of Serbia.
The most popular magazine in Serbia in June was Blic žena, the first place among the monthlies was Lepota i zdravlje, in the category of celebrity weeklies, the most readers had the Scandal! and when it comes to glossy weeklies – Gloria.
Nedeljnik was the most popular news weekly. First place in the home&garden segment was Lisa moj stan, a publication by the Color Press Group. Interestingly, there were four culinary journals among the top 10 magazines.

IN THE NEXT YEAR CROATIAN TELECOM WILL PROVIDE ALL ITS USERS INTERNET SPEEDS OF MINIMUM 20MB/S UP TO 1GB/S
At a press conference held in Split on Friday, Croatian Telecom’s Management Board presented plans for investing in network infrastructure and the development of new innovative telecommunication and ICT services in the coming period.
Much of this investment is intended to improve network infrastructure, in the framework of which the company has started the largest project of the new mobile network in the whole region at the beginning of the year. Over two years, it will cover more than 2000 locations and the investment will exceed 1 billion HRK. Company plans to increase network capacity threefold, and to set the groundwork for further deployment of 5G technology and new intelligent services such as the Internet of Things.
The new fixed and mobile network infrastructure will provide the best quality internet services in all parts of Croatia at affordable prices. The new offer includes fast internet and fixed-to-mobile calls starting from 149 HRK in Magenta 1, at speeds of at least 20Mbit/s with even greater availability via the 4G and optical network.

APPLE FINALY GETS GREEN LIGHT TO ACQUIRE SHAZAM
The European Commission has approved Apple to purchase the Shazam song recognition app after a months-long investigation determined it does not endanger competition in the streaming market.
The investigation found that Apple music and Shazam offer complementary services and that they are not competition with each other.
The Commission stated that merger of Apple and Shazam would not endanger other service providers for streaming music.
Apple, which has the second largest streaming service in Europe after Spotify, announced last year that it intends to buy Shazam. It is speculated that Apple’s bid was $400 million.
