Within the project The Young Leaders of Tomorrow, four years ago, after a series of interviews in which we had talks with 57 young leaders, we organized a gathering with them in Mokrin (House on the Flat Hill), in Serbia. We gathered young leaders and brought senior leaders to share experience with them and transfer the best from their own practice.

Here is how four years later some of the young leaders from Mokrin recall that meeting, and if you want to be part of the second iteration of this story, visit The Young Leaders of Tomorrow, register, and join us in creating a better future for our industry!

Ljubica Vukčević, Insight Manager, Direct Media Srbija

The Leaders with Leaders event has remained in really great memory. The combination of the fantastic Mokrin House, the energy of young leaders and lecturers’ knowledge, has made me remember these few days forever. Even today, four years later, I rejoice following the successes of my fellow young leaders around the world. This project is truly unique. It has enabled me, on the one hand, to connect with a group of great people, but also to hear fantastic things from the lecturers in Mokrin.

Aleksandra Bradić, Account Director, McCann Beograd

It’s October of 2015. As I arrive in Mokrin I feel some trembling, or rather positive excitement. I don’t know what will happen there, and what is expected from someone who is a Young Leader. Is it some advertising revolution or…? As I’m contemplating all this I enter the Mokrin House. Incredible energy washes over me from the very gate – energy of the passionate colleagues from around the region. Suddenly you are creating a host of acquaintances with people with whom you have so much in common that at one point you think it’s some high-school reunion. Awesome! And all this was followed by lectures by top experts and the unforgettable hospitality of Branimir Brkljač, in a space that is a generator of ideas and inspiration. Yes, as I rewind the movie in my head, I can answer the question I had at that gate – It was a real, small advertising revolution. Each of us returned from Mokrin to our micro-environments led by even greater desire to push the boundaries and change things.

Ivona Jurij, Degordian BiH

When I was listed in the selected crew of Young Leaders by the Media Markting portal, I was absolutely elated.:) Interviews with young people were coming out, and I was among them. This was a tremendous incentive for me and Degordian BiH to start growing more strongly in the direction I’d chosen. And the cherry on top was the three-day meeting in Mokrin. Three wonderful days in the company of young and already very successful people in their jobs. Three days of socializing, education, workshops, exchange of experiences and ideas … simply flew by, but to this day they hold a wonderful place in my memory. I hope we will be reunited once more somewhere, before we become Senior Leaders :) Once again I thank Media Marketing for this experience and for having had the opportunity to meet such wonderful people.

Aleksandra Prus, Pristop Ljubljana

Several years have passed since Mokrin, and I still have really wonderful memories of our gathering. At our arrival, we were greeted by a wonderful house, ideal for creating new ideas. I’ve met a lot of new people. I am still in contact with some of them and I really love seeing how much we’ve accomplished since our meeting. We also met fantastic lecturers who inspired us with their stories to the skies. I am proud that we have also been a short and sweet story of the house that is made for creating great ideas. We left Mokrin filled with energy, motivation and life wisdoms that have been very useful in the coming years in this industry. It was great to be part of this group and see how we’ve created, strengthened and been a part of the advertising industry over the last few years. I hope we will meet once again one day!

Thanks to everyone on the organization and goodwill!

Klemen Selakovič, Interface Designer, Ljubljana

Amazing location, amazing people, amazing lectures − really one of a kind experience for a young marketing professional.
