Impressions from the recently held meeting of the presidents and directors of national associations of the advertising industry in the Adriatic region are slowly settling in. It will take a little more time to put everything on paper, and the resulting working document will serve as a guide for future action, but it is already safe to say that the advertising industry has made a major step towards self-regulation at the level of the market in the Adriatic region.
“UEPS’s initiative to organize a meeting of the associations of advertising industry from the countries of the region in which such associations exist (Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia and Serbia), received the full support and the meeting was indeed successful. This was confirmed by all participants who immediately on Monday sent us congratulations for the excellent organization and well-defined topics for discussion,” said Jasmina Nikolić, vice president of UEPS. “A lot of work awaits us, and it will not be easy to implement all what we discussed and what we agreed on, but I believe we will succeed. Finally, it is our obligation towards the members whose interests we represent.”
UEPS had created all the conditions for the 24 hours in Belgrade to pass in the best possible atmosphere. Guests were accommodate in the modern business hotel Heritage, which was the host of the meeting, and socializing in Belgrade was concluded with a dinner at one of the oldest national restaurants, Dva Jelena, which treated the participants with top culinary magic. The company Beoexpo provided full logistical support in the preparation and during the event itself.
