On the occasion of the European Handball Championship which will be held this January in Croatia, Tele2 as a national partner decided to make a motivational spot to support the Croatian players.
In collaboration with the Imago Ogilvy agency, a campaign was created on Tele2’s earlier fearless platform, featuring the legendary Lino Červar, who in his specific style tells young players that “talents are born, but the fearless win”, and that it doesn’t matter if you are not legends like Balić or Džomba, because you don’t have to be born golden to become golden.
What distinguishes this spot from similar fan videos is the subtlety and honesty in its approach, as opposed to the aggressive, almost primal screams of fans that are often seen when dealing with this topic.
The spot was filmed in collaboration with the production company Riba ribi grize rep in the authentic space of Arena Zagreb, and the video used footage of real training of Croatian handball players.
Lino Červar approached this role with the same professional dedication and passion as in his appearances on the sports field, and in his Woody Allen style he made an irreplaceable contribution to the whole video.
