In its first season, the show The Voice Croatia has managed to impose standards when it comes to the second screen. The audience was equally passionate in front of the small and large screens. Likes, shares, reviews and everything else abounded! All this has led the hashtag #TheVoiceHRT to second position on Twitter’s global trending list – a result never seen before in Croatia! This is a truly rare occurrence – Croatia made the list for the first time with its entry into the European Union, and then with the game against Brazil in the World Cup. To make the trending list – especially with everything that is happening at the moment in the world, from politics to show business – is a truly noteworthy success.
In addition to the classic social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, The Voice experimented with newly launched social networks. So streaming over Periscope revealed to viewers what was happening behind the stage, as well as what the competitors were doing at a given time.
In the new season and the new live shows, The Voice Croatia is just as active. But this time, instead of via Periscope, the exciting and hectic world behind the scenes can be viewed on Snapchat (TheVoiceHRT), Instagram or Facebook Live. Along with Snapchat, a new element this year is a mobile application that offers viewers the opportunity to be the fifth mentor and experience how hard it is to sit in the mentor’s chair. The application itself gives a lot more generally unknown information about competitors, and offers weekly games as well as all previous performances. Facebook is still the most active channel, with individual performances receiving thousands of likes and hundreds of thousands of views!
As for the last season, the agency in charge of the show’s digital channels is 404.
