Although the news that Karim Rashid, one of the world’s greatest industrial designers is coming to Sarajevo’s Youth House this June 1 has already stirred a lot of dust and regional interest, the Via Media agency has many more “world caliber” content in this year’s Branding Conference.
This year, they have given themselves the task of discovering the best ways to transform the brand and adapt it to all the changes that are happening on the local and global market. To this end, they have invited world experts as guests, who will share their latest findings with conference participants. The audience will have the opportunity to hear Boris Nemšić, known world-wide as “king of telecommunications”, in an interesting one-on-one conversation with Amela Odobašić, head of the Public Relations Sector of the BiH Communications Regulatory Agency. The topics of discussion will be local and regional trends in telecommunications, and changes in business models that come as result of digitalisation.
David Balfour, a multi-award-winning visionary and one of the top 100 most influential people in the industry when it comes to experience marketing, will also share his experience. Examples from his practice suggest that consumers deserve better than generic campaigns with standard events that simply no longer work, and his clients (Adidas, PlayStation, Porsche …) are a proof that David knows very well what to do in order for the client to deservedly stand on top of the world lists.
Coming directly from socializing with the world marketing gurus (Seth Godin, Robin Sharma), Lenja Faraguna will also arrive in Sarajevo. In the region and beyond, she is known as the “mother” of modern marketing, and within her online academy she teaches communicators about transforming marketing to “marCAREting”. The basic thesis of her teaching is human relationships and care, first for oneself, and then for clients as well.
Questions of what consumer wants, and why some campaigns are simply more successful than others, will be answered by Dalibor Šumiga, the researcher of the deepest hidden truths of our subconscious. Dalibor is a specialist in Behavioral Marketing and Neuromarketing, which means that in the lab of the Promosapiens agency he creates advanced applications that, together with other neuromarketing methods, allow the measurement of subconscious reactions to different marketing stimuli. At the Youth House, we will have the opportunity to experience a demonstration combining EEG, Eye Tracking and Facial Coding Technology
Coming from Slovenia, the only country in the world that has LOVE in its name, comes Maja Pak, the director of the Tourist Board of Slovenia. Maja will explain how to successfully transform the brand of a nation and communicate its tourism potential, using the power of digital media. We believe that she knows how, because she succeeded in positioning Slovenia on the world map of top tourist destinations and win the prestigious World Legacy Award awarded by National Geographic.
What is good in our market and what categories have the greatest potential for the development of innovative products and brands, we will find out at the panel discussion which will include Davor Bruketa, one of the most creative agency directors of our region.
When we talk about business and marketing, “the change you want to see” should be the starting point for reorganizing and transforming the ancient business models. The first step in this journey is education and ridding yourself of fear of failure. The times of cold corporations and silhouettes in top floor offices is over. Leaders need to come down to earth and start anew. If you’re ready, friends from the Via Media agency are waiting for you to go along on an adventure and transform our present, because the future is here for quite some time now. See you on June 1st at the Eighth Branding Conference in Sarajevo.
