It’s not every day you see an Escape Room that travels 13 hours and 1,000 kilometres during gameplay, all available to view via livestream. That’s exactly what the rail operator VR and Nordisk Film prepared as part of the promotion of the new film Murder on the Orient Express.
On December 13, six chosen passengers (applications are currently taken through this microsite) will travel on the train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi. Two entire passenger train carriages have been entirely reserved for the 13-hour game. It will be designed and built by seasoned experts from the Finnish escape room pioneer InsideOut Escape Games. Over the course of the 13-hour journey, they will explore themed rooms, interact with actors and try to solve the mystery.
During the challenge, online viewers will be able to direct the course of events.
What is the deeper insight here? That we aren’t even close to seeing the limits of what consumers will do to out-experience each other, says TrendWatching.
