PR Agency Represent Communications Montenegro organized the first Social Media Influencers Day in Podgorica. For the purpose of promoting their client, CenterVille Hotel & Experiences, Represent gathered the “dirty dozen” – a group of influencers from Instagram and Twitter who spent the day and night at the hotel, reporting to their followers about the new star hotel in Podgorica. Although this is the first event of its kind in Montenegro and therefore special, Represent made an extra step forward. They asked the question: how can the influencers really have fun, and not just follow the protocol as the flashlights go off from all sides?”
One afternoon and a great brainstorming session – as the Represent team explain it – gave birth to the idea of Game of CenterVille. This is a unique game, similar to treasure hunt, during which contestants post photos on social networks in order to reach the prize as soon as possible. Influencers, divided into groups, searched for hidden clues all over the hotel. When they find a clue, they would receive clear instructions on what they are to publish on their social network. With hashtag #gameofcentreville, Instagram and Twitter in Montenegro were overwhelmed by photos of rooms and apartments, artwork, lounge, terrace and reception. After each published photo, the contestants received a new clue in their inbox. Over the first 24 hours, over 200 photos, live videos and Instagram stories were published, promoting the hotel. The ultimate destination of the game was he CentreVille throne – an antique chair in the hotel lobby, The Living Room Lounge & Dining.
The Game of CentreVille was inspired by the book and series Game of Thrones, so the competition teams were named after the families fighting for the throne. CentreVille throne was won by House Stark, so now it only remains to wait for the new season of the Game of Thrones to see if the Game of CentreVille predicted the winner.
