BRONZE FOR MCCANN BEOGRAD AND MCCANN PODGORICA AT EPICA AWARDS
Monday was the first day of voting for the Epica Awards grand jury that gathered in Amsterdam to give the final opinion on the best that the creative industry had to offer in the last year.
Among the winners of the first day of jury sessions the Adriatic region had one representative – the project #Unwanted, by McCann Beograd and McCann Podgorica for NGO Women’s Rights Center, which won Bronze in the Events category!
SEMPL: LAST CALL FOR THE MEDIA STAR OF THE FUTURE!

SPORTO 2018: SPEAKERS FROM EIGHT COUNTRIES COMING TO PORTOROŽ
Less than 10 days are left until the leading event in the field of marketing and sponsorship in sports in this part of Europe starts. The 15th SPORTO Conference will be held at the traditional location in Portorož, on 22 and 23 November, and will once again provide a great opportunity for business meetings.
This year, SPORTO is bringing speakers from eight different countries, who will share their experiences and knowledge – from sponsorships to (digital) communication and the engagement of fans.

SPORTO Talk this year brings Aleksandar Ceferin, UEFA president, while plans for EuroVolley 2019, which will be held in Slovenia next year, will be presented by Aleksandar Boričić, president of the European Volleyball Federation. SBB IN A CONVINCING LEAD AS THE LARGEST DISTRIBUTOR OF MEDIA CONTENT IN SERBIA
Serbian Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, in its 2017 market review, states that it Serbia’s largest provider of media content is the Serbia Broadband – Srpske kablovske mreže d.o.o. (SBB), with a market share of 54 percent according to the number of subscribers.
Telecom Serbia occupies about 25 percent of market share in 2017. In addition to SBB and Telekom, there are also JP PTT Serbia, Kopernikus Technology, Radijus Vektor and Sat – Trakt. Measured by the number of subscribers, these operators collectively account for 92 percent of the media distribution market.
The most widely used distribution of media content in 2017 are still cable operators with approximately 990,000 subscribers (growth of 3 percent compared to the previous year).
HDD: OPEN CALL FOR DESIGNER ON THE PROJECT “CENTER FOR SHAPING EVERYDAY”
The project called the Center for Shaping the Everyday (COS), launched by the Croatian Design Association with its partners – the association Bacači sjenki, the Croatian Association of Applied Artists (ULUPUH), the Museum of Arts and Crafts (MUO) and the City of Zagreb – titled Culture in the Center – Support to the Development of Public-Civil Partnership in Culture, Operational Program “Effective Human Resources” was selected for grant funding by the European Social Fund.
The organization is therefore issuing an open call to all interested designers (individuals or teams) to submit their applications for the visual identity of the project. The deadline is 27 November 2018.

BRITISH AD LEGEND LEAVES AMV BBDO AFTER 26 YEARS
Cilla Snowball, the group CEO and group chairman of AMV BBDO, is to depart the London agency after 26 years.
Snowball, a former AdAge Woman to Watch and one of the highest-profile women in U.K. business, is to pursue a “portfolio” career of roles. She’ll be succeeded by the current Chief Client Officer Sarah Douglas as CEO and current Managing Director Justin Pahl as group chairman effective Jan. 1, 2019.
Snowball departs after a strong year for the agency, with client wins such as supermarket chain Asda, and creative awards including three Cannes Grand Prix for work including Libresse’s ” Blood Normal” and Plastic Ocean/Ladbible’s “Trash Isles.”
In the wider industry she has served as chairman of the U.K. Advertising Association and president of WACL (the women’s advertising group), the Marketing Group of Great Britain and The Thirty Club of London. She also chairs the Women’s Business Council, is on the boards of both BBDO Worldwide and property company Derwent London, and is a member of the Facebook EMEA Client Council.
