Today, in the Young Leaders section dedicated to impressions of 2015 and expectations for 2016, we hang out with Ivana Vuksanović, Group Account Manager at Direct Media Podgorica.
How many times have we wished for a different job, to dedicate more time to ourselves and our families, to live in a different place, on another continent… When we think about life, we often think we would live better and be much more successful and happier if we could change some of the decisions we made. In 2015, I learned to deal with all my decisions, whatever they were, to learn from them, and based on them, to make better decisions in the future. Last year brought me a lot of nice things, experiences and contacts that will hopefully deepen this year.
The shaping of 2016 and the years to come begins by creating a vision.
All successful people have big dreams. They imagine what their future should be like and they work every day towards the realization of their vision and their goals. First you need to see, then to do and create.
In a sea of good workers, it takes great skill to make yourself visible and recognizable.
You have option A, where your colleagues and associates see you as arrogant, egotistical and overbearing, upon which your identity is quickly built, or option B, where through self improvement, kind words, a good attitude towards others and persistence, you will achieve, I believe, much more. I certainly adopt option B, as it is also better in the long run.
When you start to believe in your abilities, they begin to expand. I will try in the future to believe with even more conviction that I’m a good worker and associate, a good colleague and friend, and a good mother to my boys, so I hope for an even better and more successful 2016.
