Croatia Insurance is the largest and oldest insurance company in Croatia. It was founded in 1884 as Croatia Cooperative, offering insurance against fire. Today, more than 130 years after its establishment, Croatia Insurance operates the widest network for the application and assessment of damage, with decades of experience and expertise.
Given the fact that less than 20% of households in Croatia are insured, the campaign had to raise awareness of the need for property insurance. Such a small percentage of insured households is the result of the common belief among Croats that accidents happen to someone else, not them.
At the same time there is also a misperception that the insurance of private property involves substantial funds and that household items are insured by the housing manager’s insurance policy.
A series of videos titled Poplava (Flood) and Požar (Fire) dramatize the moment of an unexpected and unforeseeable accident, which always comes at the worst time.
