After Bratislava, Prague, Poreč, Bucharest and two times in Budapest, Piran hosted this year’s Annual Meeting of weCAN – network of independent advertising agencies of Central and Eastern Europe. The event organized each year since 2012 gives the opportunity to the network’s members to share knowledge and experience of different CEE markets, and overview results of common client accounts from the past year.
“Knowledge sharing is a top priority for weCAN. That is why we publish each year the CANnual Report, an extensive overview of the region’s media and advertising trends, and organize the CANnual Conference, our yearly public event. The Annual Meeting is another great occasion for us to learn more about each other’s markets, to see what works advertising-wise in the CEE region and what does not,” said Mitja Tuškej, Managing Director of Direct Media Komunikacije, the host agency of this year’s meeting.
“The past year has been a great leap forward for the network. After operating for years as a loose affiliate network, four member agencies – Café Communications (HU), Comtech CAN (CZ), The Group (RO) and WALK (PL) – founded weCAN Ltd. to promote further our cooperation. At the same time, we have had more successful new business cases than ever before, and we are confident that much more is to come!” said László Szarvas, CEO of weCAN.
