The internationally successful Croatian startup Baggizmo will hold an exhibition titled Baggizmo 2015. – / Making Of at the Gallery of the Croatian Designers’ Society, to reveal how they designed the Baggizmo bag tailored for gadgets, and the smart wallet Wiseward, which were funded through Kickstarter campaigns in 2015 and 2017.
Baggizmo is a project that was awarded the Best Design Award at the last Biennial Exhibition of the Croatian Designers’ Society. Authors of the exhibition are Izvorka Jurić, brand manager and product design leader at Baggizmo, and Kristina Volf, one of the product designers behind the project. The exhibition opens June 6 at 20:00hrs, and will remain open until June 26, 2018.
Baggizmo is the only startup in the field of wearable tech from Croatia that made it in the American platform Kickstarter. Its design and integrated technology were fully developed in Croatia. Visitors will be able to see the first prototypes of Baggizmo Bags and Wiseward smart wallets, how the development of individual product elements progressed, and how the Kickstarter campaign influenced their development and production.
The first Baggizmo campaign was successfully implemented on Kickstarter in 2015, when crowdfunding in Croatia was still in its early stages. Baggizmo thus broke the ice for many other startups, and the funds they collected were used to fund the production of these interesting bags. The brand now has customers around the world, and is carried in as many as 89 countries worldwide. They have most success in the US market, followed by Asia and Europe. The bag was also well-received in Japan, which is particularly significant if one considers that the Japanese are among the most demanding customers.
