Are you interested in how our homes will look like in the not so distant future? Futurologist Simon Gosling, of the Unruly adtech company, has created a living-room in their business premises in London, which is a great example of the living space that will be driven by connected home appliances.
Simon Gosling, delighted with everything related to technology, from artificial intelligence through virtual and augmented reality to smart homes, will be a guest at the regional conference on media trends, SEMPL, to be held on 28 and 29 November in Portorož, Slovenia. He will show participants, among other things, how smart devices are changing our everyday life. This is clearly seen in the 185 square meters apartment of the future that Unruly has designed in its business offices in the center of London.
The apartment includes a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom, a children’s room and a bathroom. In each area there are a number of connected devices that should make everyday tasks easier for the users and at the same time enhance their life. This is driven primarily by entertainment electronic devices, with virtual reality abilities. A video surveillance system takes care of keeping kitchen shelves and the fridge full. While we are in the store, we can connect with these devices, and take a look into the fridge contents using a webcam. A screen on our fridge will allow us online shopping. These screens will be automated, and will order food as soon as the fridge senses you’re out of stock.
These are just a few features of a smart home that will soon become our reality, at least in the opinion of Simon Gosling.
