Digital Day 2016, the largest and most important conference in Serbia dedicated to digital and interactive marketing, will be held on 25 May in Belgrade’s Dom Omladine, where all those who recognize the importance of investing in internet marketing will gather in one place.
The theme of this year’s conference, Ads We Love, is intended to draw a clear line between ads that are relevant and useful for internet users, and the low-quality, inadequate advertising that is to blame for the negative reputation that the industry of digital advertising occasionally suffers.
“Only two days are left until Digital Day, and judging from the presentations that speakers have prepared for us, I can already safely say that we have a great conference ahead of us, that will justify the title of the largest professional gathering in Serbia,” said Aleksandar Petković, executive director of the association IAB Serbia, organizer of Digital Day. “In addition to the educational element, we have tried to give conference participants an opportunity to gain new business contacts and strengthen their existing business connections through great networking. The quality of speakers and the conference program have met with great interest, as evidenced by the fact that people are eager for new experiences and knowledge in the field of digital marketing, which is certainly very important for the future growth of this industry.”
In addition to the two panels – Understanding the digital media habits of Millennials and Online video ads we love – visitors will have the opportunity to hear a lecture by top US expert Brendan Gahan titled Influencers of Marketing: Epic Victories, Defeats and Lessons Learned, as well as Malgorzata Jankovska-Blank, director of the legal department at Gemius and her lecture Why do we love our data to be protected? In her lecture, Malgorzata will try to explain the key provisions within the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation, which the EU introduced on 15 December 2015) and their expected impact on the industry of internet marketing. There is also Daniela Prumersa, Criteo, with her lecture Mobile Marketing – How to Succeed in a People Centric World, in which she will explain how companies can stay ahead and create unique experiences for new customers. Katalin Gecs from TEN Media has prepared a lecture on Creativity We Love can Transform Engagement to Performance, while Dave Birs from The Drum has prepared Reigniting Our Love of Digital Advertising.
By organizing the Digital Day conference, IAB Serbia, as a local professional association of companies engaged in digital marketing, is trying to raise awareness through education about the opportunities and benefits that interactive advertising can provide. The importance of the existence of education is reflected in the fact that in Serbia the level of investment in this type of promotion increases every year.
Digital Day has been held in Belgrade since 2011.
