The European startup scene is dominated by men, leaving women entrepreneurs in the shade. According to the research by The European Startup Monitor, less than 15% of the founders of start-ups in Europe are women. In order to change that, magazine The Hundert in its latest issue selected and published a list of 100 inspiring women from 40 countries of Europe, whose various founding stories reflect the spirit of the present generation of women founders of start-ups in Europe. Women entrepreneurs, according to the editor of the magazine Kata Oldziejewska, through their work broke all the boundaries and showed that the entrepreneurial spirit is all around us.
“Despite the different economic situations and the general opinion that it’s difficult to be a woman entrepreneur, this publication shows that it’s possible to achieve success wherever you are, in any situation, and whatever you used to do before. You just have to be brave and take the initiative,” says the editor of this reputable Berlin magazine.
According to Dragana Đermanović, it’s a big challenge to be a woman entrepreneur, but she believes that success is guaranteed to all who work hard and diligently, ignoring the obstacles:
