Speaking of Tuborg, inspiration and experiences of the competition, Ljubiša Gornik said:
“I learned of the competition from a friend who saw the post on Facebook and forwarded it to me. The decision to participate in the competition was instantaneous. This was a big challenge for me, because Tuborg as a brand deserves that everything about it is superb. I found inspiration in electronic music that I visually connected with words and letters into a binary code, which is graphic and presented on the label and cans. I look forward to see the actual label and can, from which I will drink Tuborg”.
Apart from the opportunity to see their design on millions of cans and labels, winners of the competition will also get a trip to Berlin and possibility to participate at the largest design festival, TYPO Berlin.
Tuborg competition for designers opened on 9 December 2015 and lasted through 10 January 2016. The expert jury selected the best works, which were then offered to public vote in order for end consumers to participate in the selection of the final design.
