Croatian Association for Public Relations has appointed the jury for the 11the Grand Prix as the competition for submission of best communication projects in 2017opens.
Kresimir Macan is appointed as a president, and Maja Gradisar Perotic as his deputy. The jury members are Darko Alfirev, Sanja Bach, Davor Denkovski, Davor Jakovac, Damir Jugo, Tamara Karagity, Nenad Korkut, Bojana Mandić, Martina Mihordin, Dunja Pavešić, Ivana Tavra, Ranko Vučinić and Ksenija Žlof.
“I am extremely honoured to be appointed by my colleagues as a president of this year’s jury. Grand Prix HUOJ is growing year on year and has become a main event for the Croatian PR profession. The expectation and criteria are higher and higher every year, and if you believe that your work is special either because of creativity or results please submit it with written explanation why your work is special. Brag about yourself and impress us!” Kresimir Macan stated.
The competition for submission of communication projects opens on Friday, 15th of December. As the submissions come in, the jury will publish the names of those who are nominated for The Communicator of the Year; this very prestigious award last year went to the Croatian Mountain Rescue. It is an award given to people or groups for excellent communication skills whose profession is not in communication. The Jury will also choose an Anticomunicator of the year, who will be awarded a Šipak award. Last year it was awarded to Damir Boras, the rector of Zagreb University.
“With Grand PRix we want to improve communication excellence within and without the profession. We are proud that by showcasing the best examples we enable communication experts and those who need communication for successful business practice to improve their skills every year,”Aleksandra Kolaric, HUOJ president stated.
Andreja Berberic, the executive director of Grand PRix reminded that in addition to improving the overall excellence, this award also enhances the reputation of the profession, encourages self analysis and improves good business practice of HUOJ members and education. The regular increase in numbers of submitted projects show us the quality of the submissions and that there is the need for the Grand PRix. HUOJ needs to continue expanding Grand PRix and position it as an unique event for the profession combining the elements of education and offering an experience to younger generations. The HUOJ also started an annual award for younger colleagues, students – Young Hope.
The get maximum numbers of submissions possible, HUOJ is organising a workshop on how best to prepare your submission on Thursday, 23 of December at 17:00. The workshop will be held in HUOJ offices (Ilica 5 (Oktogon) Zagreb). The potential entrants will be given forms and will be shown how to complete them; the assessment criteria will be explained and supporting material given.
