Sisters Aleksić – Dragana, Maja and Marija, whose wines are already adorned by numerous international awards, announced the coming year with the premiere of their premium Chardonnay “Bonaca Gold”, with particles of 24 carat gold, and thus announced a new wine adventure in 2017 and in the years to come.
These three young sisters from Vranje, who embarked on the adventure in wine entrepreneurship more than five years ago, with their “made by women” wines have become in the meantime the brand of their city. At the same time they proudly champion the south of Serbia in numerous international competitions, from which they invariably return with multiple gold medals. From the AWC Vienna (International Wine Challenge), they returned with the “Trophy for the best national wine cellar” in 2015, and seven other wine medals.
“The year behind us was just as successful as the previous one. In 2016 we won six medals in Vienna for our wines, as well as five more medals and recommendations at Decanter. The crown of it all is the ‘Bonaca Gold‘, our premium product,” says Dragana, oldest of the sisters.
“This wine is perhaps the realization of our wildest dreams, which in previous years we perhaps sometimes did not even dare to dream,” say the sisters, all three equally responsible for the success they have achieved. The most responsible for the fact that this only female winery in the Balkans even exists, they say, is the family, especially their mother, originating from Dalmatia, who conveyed to them the love of wine.
“‘Bonaca Gold’ in its golden glow is now something more than wine! It’s a story about love, family, tradition, friends, and nurturing all that is worth in our lives”, they add.
“Their gold” – as they call their new product – saw the Belgrade premiere at the “Exclusive golden night” event, especially organized for selected guests, connoisseurs and wine lovers in the equally exclusive Presidential suite at the Hyatt Hotel.
