As part of the promotion of the book Testimony of a Time – Of the World of Marketing Before and Now, on July 24th, the first of the five planned panels was held on the subject of understanding the philosophy of marketing and the art of its application in business and social life- past, present and future.
Moderator and keynote speaker was Žozef – Ivan Lončar, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Taboo Magazine. He pointed out that a great number of people deal with marketing, but very few of them know exactly what marketing is, and these panels are one way to bring marketing closer to others.
Speakers at the panel were also Tanja Mamula Nikolić (MASMI), Miroslav Šutić (Partner), Igor Černiševski (Direct Media) and Miša Lukic (New Startegy). In their presentations, the speakers presented their own visions of the marketing philosophy.
Tanja Mamula-Nikolic talked about how important it is to be flexible in this business and adapt to all the changes that the modern world brings. “Marketing is a way of life,” said Miroslav Šutić in his presentation. Igor Černiševski, as an expert in digital marketing, talked about the benefits that digital brings.
Miša Lukić said that regardless of the transition that is happening in business and beyond, in addition to new rules, old ones still apply. He also mentioned that it is vital to start a business worthy of communicating, and that advertising poor products will get you nowhere.
Discussion was open for all in the audience, and a debate opened on the ethics of this business and how many good, and bad, things marketing carries. Limited time for the debate also left some unanswered questions to be discussed at the next panel, scheduled for the second half of September this year.

As Lončar said, these are the people who did more than anyone asked or expected of them, who were visionaries of the development of the society in a way, and were successful in it.
This proclamation also means the cessation of publishing of the Taboo magazine.
