Despite the fact that damaging consequences of use of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic products for animals are widely known, people still use them in the holiday season. That is why Slovenian OOH company TAM-TAM, in cooperation with Luna\TBWA agency, prepared the campaign “Firecrackers? No Thanks!”
Tine Lugarič, Creative Director of Luna \ TBWA which prepared the communication platform, describes the action: “Pups of our employees keep us company at Luna every day. What we have in common is that neither they, nor other animals, nor us, like firecrackers. That is why we have prepared a campaign with the TAM-TAM team to warn of the consequences of firecrackers and rockets on animals, and we believe that this year more people will say ‘Firecrackers? No Thanks!’ Apart from activities in schools, on billboards, print, radio and cinema ads, the campaign also includes a special activation on social networks that will be a great surprise for everyone involved in it, including the viewers.”
“Why are you causing pain?” is one of the questions that will warn Slovenians of the damaging consequences of pyrotechnic products until the beginning of January throughout Slovenia, from city posters to other media. After last year’s comic book heroes, this year the main roles are played by three animals which on one hand can be man’s best friends, and on the other, during the festive season, they are the ones that suffer most because of man’s entertainment. Messages are addressed directly to individuals, pointing out the consequences that explosions of firecrackers and rockets can cause in animals.
The OOH campaign will be supported with activities in schools, print, radio and cinema ads, and a special campaign on social networks where two vlogers, popular among the younger population, will make a surprise activation that will clearly show the message of the campaign to all viewers.
Zou can also join the campaign by sharing similar content on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and this help raise awareness about these issues, and create nicer holidays for all.
The campaign is supported by A1, NLB, Coca-Cola, Opel and Petrol.
