COMMUNICATOR OF THE YEAR IN CROATIA IS ANTE MRVICA

Fifteen-member jury of the 11th Grand PRix Awards of the Croatian Public Relations Association (HUOJ) has named dr. Sc. Ante Mrvica as Communicator of the Year in Croatia.

“Ante Mrvica is a Croatian seafarer, a university professor and coordinator of Jadrolinija for the maritime area of Split and Dubrovnik. He retired at the end of August 2017. He did his job quietly and confidently, so during his career not much was known or written about him personally. Yet, on the other hand, he is an excellent example of how to communicate from a public post in the public interest. This communication needs to be reliable, simple and straightforward with everyone – from travelers to journalists. Media highly appreciated his openness, exactly what they expect from other people in similar positions,” said Krešimir Macan, president of the jury of the 11th Grand PRix.

Ante Mrvica spent 27 years in the Port of Split, and he commented on his work: “I always claimed that I was there for the travelers, not the other way around, and that a traveler needs accurate and timely information.” Such attitude and communication brought him the prize of the Croatian Public Relations Association, which he is extremely proud of.

The award for the Communicator of the Year, which last year went to the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service, will be presented to Mrvica at the Grand PRix gala on Friday, March 16, at 19.30hrs at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb.

BOCELLI WINES FROM THE WINERY OF ANDREA BOCELLI ARE COMING TO CROATIA

One of the world’s greatest musicians and opera singers of today, Italian Andrea Bocelli, on March 10 this year will hold a concert at the Zagreb Arena. In the wake of the preparations for the musical spectacle of the year, experts of the company Vinolog and cellar Bocelli 1831, owned by the tenor’s family, agreed a distribution of their famous wines.

Love and passion for the wines that he nourishes today, Andrea Bocelli inherited from his father, who, in fact, raised their family vineyard, founded in 1831, to the level beyond the local frameworks of that time. After the death of his father, the cellar and vineyards were inherited by Andrea and his younger brother Alberto and their sons. Andrea’s love and passion for wines is symbolically illustrated in one of his recent statements: “When you describe wine, you cannot avoid romantic words because the wine itself is the essence of romance.”

Andrea Bocelli has decided to hand his own enthusiasm and honest passion for wines to the Croatian company Vinolog, believing they will take good care of his wines in Croatia and its surroundings.
