On Wednesday, 23 November, the 14th Business Café in Belgrade was held at the Hotel Falkensteiner.
The topic was Take your own road to success, and the guests were: Darko Vidić, zverko.rs; Žaklina Nedeljković, mobilnasestra.rs, designer Vesna Milošević, ELM Jewellry, and Krsto Radović, owner of Mandarina Cake Shop.
The event was led by Kristina Ercegović, project initiator, and Marija Radojčić, moderator of Business Café events in Novi Sad.
Žaklina Nedeljković, known as mobilnasestra (mobile nurse), winner of the Success Flower for the Dragon Woman this year, said that everything happens in my time, not in I time, and to the question of what success means for her, she said it depends on the period of life we’re in. As the main challenge she highlighted unfair competition.
Krsto Radović studied and worked abroad, and had a good chance to stay there, but still decided to returned to Serbia, and asked why he did so, he answers that his heart remained in Serbia and that he just always follows his intuition.
As the key to success he considers having a dream and vision always in front of our eyes. He stressed that it is important that when you look in the mirror you see someone there who you wanted to become.
He stressed the importance of cooperation with the best, and that work ethic is a great challenge, or rather the lack of in relation to his experiences abroad. He treated all participants with his fresh, delicious and beautifully designed cakes.
Darko Vidić, who describes himself as an advocate for Serbia’s transition into the 21st century, advised small entrepreneurs to be present on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. He explained in three simple sentences what content marketing is, and concluded that, unfortunately, Serbia couldn’t have a Google of its own, because such a company would have to have 100 employees to deal with all the administration, since sometimes it seems that the laws and the mentality are stuck in the 16th century.
Vesna Milošević in the end showcased her jewellery with which she even went to the New York Fashion Week, and talked about how she’s an artist with a sense of business, and all participants agreed that all entrepreneurs are also artists, as they create something out of nothing.
Guests who shared their entrepreneurial story after the event enthusiastically commented on social networks, noting the famous Business Café atmosphere and energy, and many guests from the audience tweeted during the event, since this was the first time the twitter wall was introduced, #inbusinesscafe.
