Ikea is proving that they are keenly in tune with current events with their stunts, and never miss an opportunity to delight with witty reactions to the world around us. Just remember the Balenciaga bag that Ikea believes drew inspiration from their Frakta bag, or the famous painting by Da Vinci, then there were the costumes of GoT, and most recently the Royal Wedding.
What was the major headline maker recently? GDPR. And Ikea once again had an awesome social media post about it. Ikea Creative Hub and their agency ACNE came up with the post from the title, reminding people that EU is going forward with protecting people’s data, but also that they’ve been working on protecting your privacy for years.
In that spirit, they shared the image of their Risor room divider, with the copy “Finally, internet is catching up with real life”.
