It was never more difficult to keep a secret in the world of technology than today. This fact has never been more obviously illustrated than in the case of Samsung and the Mobile World Congress, which officially began yesterday in Barcelona. The day before the fair, Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ flagships for the first half of this year at a separate event, but everything that was written about those smartphones in weeks prior to the conference, turned out to be true.

The Galaxy S9 looks much better in person than in pictures, and it still fits in your hand as good as the S8. The only significant design shift is the one that literally everyone asked from Samsung – to move the fingerprint sensor from the impractical position next to the lens of the camera to a more logical place under the lens. Now it’s much easier to reach the sensor and its position is much more natural. The display is still one of the strongest features of the Galaxy S9. It is one of the finest screens in the market, which Samsung calls Infinity Display.
The biggest change was in the camera department, which was obvious as soon as Samsung sent out invitations with the “Camera Reimagined” tagline. The S9 has a single 12-megapixel camera with a variable aperture, which is the first on smartphones. Super Slow Motion was also introduced, which shoots up to 960 frames per second (in HD resolution).
The price of the device is €799 for S9 and €899 for S9. The devices start shipping on March 16. (Jutarnji.hr)
