CROATIAN CHAMBER OF ECONOMY TAKES MOST SUCCESSFUL IT COMPANIES TO CEBIT
Cloud system for recognizing emotions of customers of a certain brand, a big data tool that predicts the behavior of users of Internet portals, and a mobile cash register integrated in the cloud through ERP solution are just some of the IT products developed in Croatia which were presented at this year’s CeBIT, with support of the Croatian Chamber of Economy (CCE).
The largest trade fair of information technology, which was held March 14 to 18 in Hannover, Germany, this year brought together 3,300 tech companies from 70 countries – among them 350 startups – and more than 221,000 visitors and 1,500 company executives. Croatian Chamber of Economy has announced that this year they took to CeBIT Alfatec Group, Neoinfo and the largest Croatian exporter of software, Span.
LECTURES CONTINUE AT I&F MCCANN CORNER
After the successful lecture on the management of social network channels, digital experts from agency Drive will practically explain the process of designing and implementing campaigns on digital media to the participants of I&F McCann Corner on the last Wednesday of the month of March (30 Mar). Workshops will also be organized for this occasion so that attendees will be able to practically apply their new knowledge.
I&F McCann Corner is a series of lectures resulting from collaboration of the American Corner Belgrade and I&F McCann Group. Lectures, presentations and workshops are held by professionals of I&F McCann Group and the agencies within it, and are held on the last Wednesday of the month. They are aimed at high school students, young entrepreneurs, as well as all who are interested in this field, who thus have the opportunity to get better acquainted with the skills that will help them in their professional growth and career development.
LINDSTROM’S SMALL DATA ROLLS OUT IN SLOVENIAN
The book Small Data: The Tiny Clues That Uncover Huge Trends by a world renowned branding expert Martin Lindstrom has just been published in Slovenian language. On that occasion, Lindstrom personally greeted the readers of Marketing Magazine (see the video at the end). The next issue of Marketing Magazine will feature an in-depth interview with him in which, among other things, he talks about the importance of small cues that transform into significant trends.
Book Small Data, which came out in late February in English language, very quickly rose to the very top of the bestseller lists in the US, surpassing even Harry Potter.

SERBIAN ASSOCIATION FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS

VIPNET STARTS COLLABORATION WITH HUB 385 AND LAUNCHES CONTEST FOR BEST SMALL ENTREPRENEURS IN CROATIA
All small entrepreneurs who are Vipnet subscribers with up to 14 employees can apply to www.viplokalniheroji.hr until 15 April. On the official website of the project there are detailed rules of participation in the contest. Upon completion of the first phase of registration, jury selection will take place from 16 April to 1 May, and the jury is composed of: Ivica Mudrinić, co-founder of HUB385; Martin Rizman Matić, director of corporate communications at Vipnet; Lordan Kondić, marketing manager at Vipnet; Matija Žulj from startup Agrivi and Tomislav Pokrajčić from startup Binaria.
The jury will select up to 100 best applicants on the basis of creativity and innovation of their products, interesting business stories, role in promoting entrepreneurship, a special relationship to customers and special impact on the local community. Those selected will enter the grand finals, and from 2 to 23 May all Croatian citizens will be able to vote for their favorites on the website www.viplokalniheroji.hr. The top ten will win participation in Vipnet’s promotional campaign. Apart from participating in the campaign, the winners will also get business consulting or education (per their own choice) and a Microsoft phone.
In order to further strengthen cooperation with small businesses and start-up scene, Vipnet started to cooperate with the HUB385. Presenting this cooperation, Rizman Matić and Mudrinić pointed out that the provision of infrastructure support from both sides is only basis for cooperation, which will be upgraded with a number of projects that will involve tenants of HUB385, the largest co-working space in Croatia.
