Participants at the Days of Communication – the main national advertising festival of Croatia organized by HURA and IAB which takes place from 14 to 17 April 2016 in the Rovinj Hotel Lone – expect world-renowned experts in communication, branding and advertising. New famous and influential names in the industry coming to Days of Communication are – Kerrie Finch, founder and CEO of FinchFactor; Ivan Pols, creative director of the agency Adam&EveDDB; and Francesco Urso, brand manager at Procter&Gamble.
After a PR career in the successful Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, Kerrie Finch founded the agency FinchFactor in 2009, which she has led for seven years now. The agency now has offices in London, Amsterdam and Los Angeles and is known as the leading agency for reputation management of global brands. Kerrie’s communication experience includes presentations at festivals such as Cannes Lions and Eurobest and working with consumer technologies, lifestyle, arts and entertainment. In her lecture at Days of Communication, Kerrie Finch will confront the lies surrounding the division and separation regarding PR and advertising at a time when the international creative industry is going through its most drastic transformation. Along with strategies of social networking, mobile and brand content, which make the marketing mix so extraordinary, Kerrie will be questioning why brands and agencies still rely on old models that treat PR and marketing agencies as alien planets moving in remote galaxies. This expert on reputation management will share a few key truths about work in the global creative industries, including that which places PR at the center of gravity of all communication universes.
Ivan Pols, the creative director of the agency Adam&EveDDB has worked in literally every area on three continents – from graphic design to art direction, from web to interactive design and illustration, and has also occasionally provided IT support. His work for brands such as Dove, Audi, Philips and Shreddies has been acclaimed around the world, and a few lucky works have even found their place in textbooks, TED speeches and video parodies. The agency Adam&EveDDB has created the famous Christmas campaigns for the British department store John Lewis for the last eight years, and Ivan Pols will strive to explain how these yearly campaigns raise the energy in the agency and empower every brand under the agency’s roof, and will also talk about the kind of exciting and unusual culture you need to have in order to produce so many well loved campaigns.
Francesco Urso, brand manager of Procter&Gamble, believes that creativity is the key source of the growth of a brand. At Days of Communication he will give a lecture on the theme Sharing the Dream, explaining how amazing creativity starts with two people in the same room who share the same dream, and will also explain why it doesn’t happen more often. After nine years of experience in Proctor&Gamble, Francesco will also share his vision of how to dream more, together.

For members of HURA, IAB and HUOJ, and for clients of HURA agencies, the admission fee package for participation in the festival, with 3 nights in the luxury Lone Hotel, is HRK 2,911.00 (€384.80)*.
