According to Kraš company’s procurator Marica Vidaković, Domaćica of all tastes was shared, wherever there were Croatia’s fans present. In Croatia, the sale of these cookies doubled in the first ten days of July.
Vidaković’s first match of this World Cup was the one against England, which she watched with other fans at Luzhniki Stadium, but it wasn’t the last, as she returned for the finals as well.
“The atmosphere was great already on the plane, and then on the streets of Moscow to the stadium, it was phenomenal. The Moskovians welcomed us great wherever we went, and everyone was rooting for Croatia,” Vidaković recalls her impressions and added that she went to Moscow mostly as a fan, but also to work on some business opportunities brought by the World Cup. Her colleague in charge of the Russian market arranged several business meetings.
Although no information is yet available on the outcome of these meetings, Vidaković pointed out that the success of the Croatian national team, and Ivan Rakitić, who is an ambassador of Domaćica, gave a great boost to this brand.
“Ivan is one of the pillars of our team, just like Domaćica he is one of our main products, and he does this marketing business brilliantly. I would say he even does it more as a loyal consumer and fan of Domaćica than ex officio,” added Vidakovic.
Namely, this Croatian midfielder has so far shared Domaćica cookies with the teams of Nigeria, Iceland, Denmark, Argentina and Russia. As for England, Marica Vidaković is not so sure, “as they scooped up from the field in a hurry, with no greetings and congratulations.”
