One of Mercator’s most successful campaigns, My Brands, is getting a new dimension. In cooperation with its suppliers from the region, Mercator devised a new activation, expanding its shelves for these suppliers, and promoting products from neighbouring countries.
In collaboration with the regional suppliers, Mercator also introduced an added value to the quality of these products – it rewards customers of products created in the Adriatic region.
Customers love prize games. When they are already shopping, they wish to try their luck in winning a prize, they want added value to what they bought. Rewards this time are received by buying products from the region and giving customers the chance to visit some of the neighbouring countries. Mercator and its suppliers participate in the formation of the prize fund. Rewards as a motivation contribute to better sales, better sales help development of producer companies and their local community from where products come to Mercator stores. Is there anything more logical then Mercator and its suppliers joining forces to increase sales. It’s a win-win-win scenario for both consumers, Mercator and suppliers.
We sometimes wrongly assume that you have to travel far for new discoveries, but there’s a lot of things waiting for us just around the corner. Buyers simply need to look for the My Brands labelled products on Mercator’s shelves, this time from the region, and take part in the SMS prize game in which M holidays will take them to the most interesting areas of Southeast Europe or the Western Balkans. This time, buyers are rewarded by their favourite Jaffa sweets, high quality Violeta products, Clipsy salted snacks and meat products from Pik.
When purchasing at least one product labelled My Brands, the buyer will receive a coupon on their receipt, with a printed code which is sent to a dedicated number 4080 with the word MHOLIDAYS to enter the sweepstakes.
Mercator will reward lucky customers with 10 coupons worth €1,000 for touristic adventures in the region, per their choice from the M holidays offer – shoppers choose, and Mercator takes them to interesting trips.
This was just another way for the retailer and its suppliers to offer shoppers an added value.
