Founder of the Business Cafe, Kristina Ercegović (Zaokret), author of the book Sam svoj gazda (One’s Own Boss) led interesting conversations with her guests about their entrepreneurial road. Ekrem Dupanović shared his early steps in marketing and gave advice to everyone that they shouldn’t be afraid of mistakes. Even when the whole world is tumbling around you, you should remain calm, look at the situation and make the best of it. He said some very inspiring examples from his 46 years long practice, from which young Croatian entrepreneurs could learn a lot. Sandra Mihelčić stressed the importance of teamwork and freedom in business, and how sometimes the harder road is more worth it in the long run, and that no matter how hard situation is you should always be fair and nice to the people. Lea Brezar pointed out that people with whom she works always come first, how she always encourages them to “walk on the edge”, but is also always by their side to lend a helping hand. All guests have pointed out the passion for the work they do as the main motivator for entrepreneurship.

A novelty at this Business Cafe was the connecting of Zagreb and Belgrade through the book Sam svoj gazda, by Kristina Ercegović. At last week’s Business Cafe in Belgrade, Serbian entrepreneurs, with the desire to connect with the Croatian entrepreneurs, bought a book, wrote a couple of sentences and their contact details and sent them to Zagreb. Yesterday their books were distributed, and a dozen new books were purchased, which have been scribbled in and are waiting their trip to Belgrade.

Thus began another way of connecting and networking in the region.
