Here’s a campaign that definitely pulls at the heartstrings for this New Year. Dutch State Lottery is promoting its New Year’s Eve draw with a small, scruffy pup, who seems to have some confidence issues.
The ad was created by TBWA/Neboko and directed by Martin Werner, and it features an adorable dog called Frekkel. He’s out with his owner on a cold winter evening, buying a lottery ticket for the New Year.
After his owner says he will have only beautiful things when he wins the lottery, little scruffy Frekkel goes through an identity crisis. We won’t spoil any more, just watch the video and enjoy.
The agency has also shared a video alongside the ad, which tells the true story of Frekkel, whose real name is Pistacio, and it is as touching as the ad itself. Check it out below.
