Launch of the long anticipated series “Outcast” was marked by two innovative and successful marketing campaigns, which were implemented at the global level and in Croatia. In the offline world, Zagreb, as one of 12 cities worldwide, was part of a global event of FOX Network Group, which included painting of murals with scenes from the first episode of Outcast throughout the world. Painting of the mural in Zagreb’s Student Centre lasted two entire days, and the Zagreb mural was painted by the famous graffiti and street artist Slaven Kosanović Lunar, who added to the mural his distinctive tones. Another, no less attractive action, was happening in the virtual world: a few days before the television premiere, FOX aired the first episode of Outcast on Facebook, simultaneously in 61 countries. FOX is the first television network in Europe and Africa which used social network to premiere a show. Thanks to the live stream, but also other Facebook activities related to the launch of Outcast, Facebook page of FOX in Croatia beat some records: total reach of FOX’s website in Croatia in June was 960,000, which is 113% more than this year’s average!
