The Croatian Public Relations Association awarded twelve certificates to its members, thanks to which they acquired the status of a Certified Public Relations Officer (CPRO).
President of HUOJ Aleksandra Kolarić handed the twelve certificates to successful candidates: Bojana Mandić from Pragma Communications, Krešimira Rendulić from Prorsus Communications, Katia Župan from National Park Krka, Snježana Tomić, Renata Puljiz from the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts, Zrinka Oreb from the Ministry of Justice, Martina Mihordin from the State Attorney’s Office, Davor Denkovski from the City of Zagreb , Anđelko Brezovnjački from Hrvatska Elektroprivreda and Kristina Klarić Rubčić from Lactalis. This is the first generation of communication professionals who have obtained the CPRO status through a written and oral exam that checks their overall knowledge and experience in the area of public relations. Based on the scientific doctorate in the field of communication, the status of CPRO was also given to Drago Martinović and Ivana Bilić.
“The CPRO status proves that its holder possesses professional skills and a wide range of theoretical knowledge and is ready for continuous learning and development. The aim of the certification is to set standards of expertise and raise the quality in the public relations business,” said Aleksandra Kolarić.
Two years ago, CPRO status was gained by about thirty public relations experts who had already obtained relevant international diplomas in public relations, a doctorate in communications science, or have had more than 20 years of professional experience.
Certification which continues during the fall is open to all PR practitioners with university degree, and at least five years of experience in this field.
