Graffiti na Gradele (GNG) festival from Bol, Croatia, is starting the New Year in a working fashion! At the Student Center, on 14 January, they are preparing a little mingling of summer-time proportions, this time under a roof and within four walls. GNG says they are not afraid of the cold, but it’s much easier to get into the summer spirit with as few kilos of clothes on as possible.
In the lobby of the Student Center Cinema, at 18.00 hours, visitors will be greeted by an exhibition of GNG friends and artists, so visitors will have the chance to see works by Lunar, Lonac, Chez 186, Sarme, Modul Osam, Hana, Mane Mei, Vuk Z. Oreb aka Rad Recorder, Casino and Royal from HAHA kolektiv, Glitchboy2000, Borut Planinc and Pleh. The exhibition is curated by Antonija Bačić (supernia).
One of the aims of this exhibition is to show how heterogeneous and broad platform the Graffiti Na Gradele festival has become, and how graffiti and street art scene can be constructively and qualitatively built through a series of different media and perspectives. A whole range of local artists, veterans of street art and graffiti scene will gather in one place – including the youngest ones whose vision is bringing a new perspective to this scene, and who are a sign of its future development.
In addition to cutting-edge works by local artists, in the framework of this one-day event there will also be a small skate session and a party till the early morning hours with DJs Oliver (Bassing, Krankšvester), Zemba (BLAW:BLAW) and Kun (Kiosk Skateshop Crew).
As part of the all-day event, visitors will be able to buy Graffiti Na Gradele merchandise such as T-shirts, bags, rolling paper…
Admission to the entire event is free. For more information you can visit the official Facebook event.
