DB Breweries from new Zealand and their agency Colenso BBDO had a very successful campaign in 2015, the “Brewtroleum” in which the company used the yeast left over from the brewing process and turned it into a biofuel, thus giving its customers a chance to „save the world“ by drinking more beer.
After tremendous success of this campaign which won awards at all major industry awards, the company is now launching another environmentally focused campaign, with a bunch of machines in New Zealand that will crush the empty bottles of their DB Export beer into sand, whose purpose is to save the countries receding beaches.
According to the company, two-thirds of the world’s beaches are retreating due to demands of various industries for sand. Hence, the bottle-crushing machines will create substitute sand for these industries, branded as DB Export Beer Bottle Sand, thus reducing New Zealand’s dependence on using beach sand.
All you have to do to help save beaches is therefore once again to drink more DB Export.
