UEPS continued its series of lectures for which it has been recognizable for decades with the lecture Brands on the net – From yours, theirs and Google’s angle, held on 27 June at the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade.
The lecture consisted of three blocks. In the first part, Predrag Milićević, head of the RNIDS’ Business Development and Marketing Department, treated the many topics that make up the brand’s identity, with great examples of what can happen to those who are insufficiently informed or who rashly open and even more rashly close their domains … He’s a person who definitely needs to be heard by everyone on the net as a user or content creator! Predrag Milicevic gave examples from world and domestic practice to corroborate every fact that most users don’t think about when they use social networks, open an email address, or create a corporate or personal site, which can often bring trouble or have dramatic consequences. In addition, in the presentation he gave a series of useful instructions and tips on what to pay attention to when selecting domains, shattering the prejudices about the relationship of national versus international domains.
Ana Pavlović, Digital Account Director at Web Media Agency, told a wonderful story of how to foster love between the brand and the consumer, and to make every click into a purchase, backing her story by examples from her practice. Ana charmingly, simply and summarily presented some of the brands (Maxi, DM, Maybelline) for which she created a net presence in the function of sales promotion and firmer connection between the consumer and the brand. She illustrated how potatoes can become as digitally attractive as lip gloss, citing the example of the campaign that Web Media Agency did for client Maxi, and which, like in all other digital promotions, achieved greater visibility in the market, but also better sales – which is the ultimate goal. Ana’s presentation suggests that a good idea, or a creative approach, is often more effective than large budgets.
And finally, the wonderful young people, Singidunum students, in their charming manner presented their professional work on the topic “We think digital”, through which they branded their faculty in the digital environment – the wonderful energy of youth crossed with a wide spectrum of mature professional thinking. The future certainly belongs to them, and the UEPS has supported their first promising steps.
The event was moderated by the man from the shadows, who for years now, patiently and persistently, following the best traditions of his predecessors, organizes the UEPS’s lectures – Mugdim Šehalić, who has hundreds of lectures under his belt.
The interaction of listeners and lecturers confirmed the success and the need to exchange experiences on these topics. Therefore, right after the summer holidays, UEPS intends to continue with the new lecture cycle, and for those who have not been able to attend this lecture due to obligations, UEPS will soon publish the most interesting details from the lectures.
