Tomislav Grubišić, CEO of Degordian agency, conducted a survey among more than 1300 developers to gather information on average salaries of developers in Croatia
Grubišić’s goal is to create the best jobs and conditions for developers in Europe, and to share all the knowledge and information he gathers with the community.
“The community has provided me with the best developers on the market, so I want to give something back. With this analysis, every developer will be able to see how they stand with respect to the market average, but also to gain a realistic picture of the market itself,” he explained.
Developers earn an average of €1,141, but not in all technologies equally. With regard to the industry in which they do programming, the average salary ranges from €1,022 for PHP, up to €1,330 for programming in Ruby.
Nearly half of the surveyed developers work in .NET and Java technologies, and for this they receive an average salary of €1,208.
It is interesting to note that the difference in salaries between private companies with domestic owners and local firms with foreign owners has disappeared, so the difference in salaries is now +/-3-5%, which is at the level of statistical error.
