Honda’s latest spot features a pair of giant, Godzilla-size monsters fighting above the streets of a devastated city, as they wrestle over a school bus. Then a pair of brave peacekeepers arrive with an apparently ingenious solution — they activate a machine that pulls the ground apart beneath the monsters’ feet, putting an end to their tug of war.
If you’re wondering what all this has to do with cars, it soon becomes clear as the scene changes to a family car — the Honda Odyssey — and two kids fighting over a toy in the back seat. The parents — the peacekeepers — simply push a button and their two seats slide further apart. We also see Honda’s other family-friendly features such as a back seat camera and a cabin audio system so that Dad can talk calmly to his kids in the back (rather than turning and yelling, like in the old days).
