Recently we brought you news of a new campaign for Tele2, which encourages Croatian handball team at the World Cup in France, and which includes an interesting cheering prop. It’s the Ponosić (a word play on words ponos=pride and nosić=nose) – a new innovative idea from the agency Imago Ogilvy.
Ponosić is a simple and practical prop, easy to take to any sports event, and most importantly, it’s unique for Croatia and infused with strong national identity.
Whether you have a nose for football, nose for handball, basketball, water polo … or you don’t have a nose for sport at all, you certainly have a nose for pride, and with it you can support your team.
Judging by the results of Croatian handball players achieved in France, it seems that Ponosić is doing its job, so we believe that we will soon be seeing it at other sports events as well.
“The idea with Ponosić had two goals. One was to promote the square as a national symbol, and the other was to bring some new values to fandom, in contrast to the aggression and vandalism in stadiums. Explained in three words: affirmative, innovative, positive. I’m glad that Tele2 has recognized this idea and that we implemented it together,” explained Saša Perić, Senior Art Director at Imago Ogilvy and author of Ponosić.
