The first generation of the AcademIAA last Friday (9 December) officially ended the three-month training in the field of marketing communications. At the event, which was organized on this occasion by the IAA Serbian Chapter, participants were presented with certificates, while Lazar Džamić (creative strategist), Saša Savić (Mediacom USA) and Miša Lukić (Publicis One) were named best lecturers.
“All of you who today attend this event have helped AcademIAA to be so successful, so today we celebrate our joint triumph. We launched a program that has answered the need of the profession, to jointly invest in the education of those we see as our future,” with these words Jelena Ivanović, Executive Director of IAA Serbia opened the event that marked the completion of the three-month training of 25 participants of the AcademIAA program, which was attended by many representatives of the industry.
Participants had the opportunity to listen to lectures in the framework of six modules – business, creative, media, research, digital and All Stars. 87 experts appeared in the role of speakers and panelists, and they presented 75 different topics during the 26 working days. Ivanović highlighted the contribution to the creation of the program and list of speakers, provided to AcademIAA by the coordinators of modules: Research – Marijana Agić Molnar (GfK), Marija Matić (Direct Media) – Media, Svetlana Ćopić (Scholz & Friends), Aleksandar Nikolić (Communis DDB) – Digital and Andreja Milkić (Leo Burnett) – Business. She especially thanked the companies that recognized the importance of this educational program and supported it financially: The Coca-Cola Company, SBB, Imlek, Doncafe and Alma Quattro.
The first generation of students were awarded certificates as proof of successful completion of training which, in addition to presence at lectures, included the business cases that participants solved during the last week of AcademIAA. The proof that organizers had made a good selection of candidates, or rather that this program enrolled really talented and hardworking young people, comes in the fact that the requirement for certification was presence at 80% of lectures, and the successful solution of the business case.
At the ceremony, the best coordinator and best lecturers were declared on the basis of anonymous voting by participants during the AcademIAA. Best coordinator was named Andreja Milkić, Account Director at Leo Burnett. It is interesting that the participants gave lecturers a high average grade of 8.3, and the best were Lazar Džamić (creative strategist – September), Saša Savić (CEO, Mediacom – October) and Miša Lukić (CEO, Publicis One – November).
According to representatives of IAA Serbia, the next generation of the AcademIAA will be enrolled in September next year.
