As of today, registrations are open for the new program called AcademIAA. This is a new educational project of IAA Serbia which will start on 2 September and will last until 10 December this year. Participants will have the opportunity to listen to lectures and participate in workshops led by more than 70 experts in the field of marketing communications.
The three-month program consists of six modules (business, creative, digital, media, research and so-called. All Stars). Each module lasts on average 14 hours total. This content is intended to provide students with a 360-degree approach to the field of marketing communications. The program will be held on Friday afternoons and Saturdays. Each module has its own coordinator, renowned experts – members of the IAA: Research – Marijana Agić Molnar, Managing Director, GfK Belgrade; Marija Matić, Media Planning Director, Direct Media; Svetlana Ćopić, Creative Director, Scholz & Friends Belgrade; Andreja Milkić, Account Director, Leo Burnett Belgrade; Aleksandar Nikolić, Digital Director, Communis DDB. Creative support throughout the project was given by Boris Marčetić, Creative Director of agency Popular Bruketa & Žinić OM.
The total number of participants will not exceed 30 in order to provide the conditions for quality work. Due to the limited number of participants and the need to come up with the most talented candidates, a precise selection process in two steps has been set in place: sending a CV and cover letter, and then the online testing. When it comes to the profile of the participants, there are no restrictions in terms of age, education, professional experience.
Jelena Ivanović, Executive Director of the IAA Serbia, said this is the most ambitious and most comprehensive project of the Association in the field of education.
“IAA Serbia with this program makes a significant step, in our opinion, not only for the Association, but for this profession in Serbia. The idea is to ‘use’ the knowledge and experience of our members, and other experts on the local market and beyond. The program is truly a unique opportunity to learn from the best and most successful, and there is a great need for that. Mission of the Association encompasses a range of activities that contribute to the development of the profession, especially through education. Looking at the long term, the best results are achieved through investing in human resources, especially in those whom we believe – or for whom we desire – to be the pillars of the profession in the near and more distant future. I would especially like to thank the team that has worked on this project, as well as the many speakers who have not hesitated a minute to participate and contribute to the first AcademIAA.”
