The fourth edition of the Days of Communication, the central advertising festival of Croatia, begins tonight in Rovinj Hotel Lone. This year organizers expect a record turnout of participants for whom they have prepared a rich conference program dedicated to the latest global trends and the export potential of Croatia’s creative industries. Traditionally, the Days of Communication will include award ceremonies for the most important professional awards for creativity and effectiveness in marketing communications: IdeaX, Mixx, Effie, and for the first time the Young Lions Award for young agency professionals.
The festival program will open Thursday with a lecture by Cristian Clita, coordinator of social networks of IKEA for South East Europe, on the topic Let’s ‘kill’ the digital strategy – integrating digital into the business, which will explain how to integrate digital into business strategies in order to improve operations and relationships of companies with their customers.
Friday schedule features leaders of the world’s advertising industry, among which are Ivan Pols of Adam&Eve, which is responsible for one of the most famous Christmas commercials Man On The Moon made for the company John Lewis; then there is Lisa Larsson from the Swedish Institute, who worked on the project Curators of Sweden; and one of the best speakers of the Eurobest festival, Rogier Vijverberg. First part of the platform Export Stage is also on the Friday schedule, where an investor and entrepreneur Nenad Bakić will talk with representatives of the Croatian creative industries who have succeeded in taking their products and services outside the borders of Croatia.
On Saturday, the program continues with inspiring lectures by multiple award-winning digital specialists Kris Hoet, brand manager of Procter & Gamble Francesco Urso, specialist in consumer behavior Thom Theys and others, but also includes domestic forces that will talk about how the Croats use the media and how big is the impact of sale space on people’s behavior.
In the informal part of the program, participants on Friday and Saturday expect two networking panels, the well-known Beer after the program or the PPP-s, and the entertainment part, which on Friday includes the Fun(k)tastic concert with Ante Gelo Band and Saturday’s performance of the band Lollobrigida.
