One of the world’s most important trends currently is healthy food. More and more brands, small and big alike, are turning to healthier alternatives in their offerings.
Following the zeitgeist and caring for its consumers, Mercator decided this year to intensively promote healthy habits and to offer customers all the conditions to devote themselves to a healthier diet, thus seeking to respond to the fast paced rhythm of life that makes it difficult for people to truly devote themselves to… well, themselves.
As the old folk proverb says, “Health comes through the mouth”, Mercator BiH has decided to encourage their customers into a healthier way of life through a series of activities, and above all through the offer of a wide assortment of products that facilitate this healthier choice in life.
The flagship in their efforts is the Bio Once, Bio Always project, that was launched in the first half of the year, as well as a special Mercator brand, Bio Zone, which sells over 50 different products of healthy, 100% natural organic foods that contain no artificial colors and flavors. As an added bonus, the brand has hired a famous alpinist, Tomislav Cvitanušić, as the ambassador for healthy food.
Mercator was thus the first in Bosnia and Herzegovina to launch a project of this kind, and in the segment of healthy foods they have prepared over a thousand, varied healthy products that make it easier for consumers to change habits and switch to healthier diet.
Today, eight months after the launch of the project, offer in the healthy food segment of Mercator stores includes over 1300 items, and company says they are recording great numbers in this category on a daily basis. With this step, Mercator is positioning itself as the top choice when it comes to healthy foods that is in line with world trends, and the success of selling articles gives the reason to believe that customers have also recognized importance and started adopting healthy lifestyles.
The company particularly credits their own brand Bio Zone for this success – which currently counts over 50 different healthy food items, 100% made of certified natural, organic ingredients, without artificial colors and flavors. The rich offer includes gluten-free, lactose-free and non-sugary products, covering a whole range of categories, from natural drinks and teas, over spices, to cereals and other packaged products.
When it comes to plans for the year 2019, the company tells us they plan to continue to work on building healthy consumer habits and to continue promoting healthy eating habits. To this end, they are planning to upgrade the Bio Once, Biio Always campaign, but also the expansion of the Bio Zone brand offering, from packed foods to an assortment of fresh produce.
