Awwwards – a panel of globally recognized web designers, developers, creative directors and agencies – has published a list of nominated websites, independent professionals, design studios and web agencies that will compete for their annual awards. This year, Bornfight, the Croatian company for digital innovations, was among the nominees. The agency was created in September by Tomislav Grubisic and Daniel Ackermann, when it was separated from the Degordian marketing agency.
Bornfight was nominated in the category of ‘Agency of the Year’, and the nomination itself came as a result of work on projects in 2018, first and foremost on the agency’s own corporate website, which earlier won at Awwwards the Site of the Day, Developer Award, Mobile Excellence and Honors Awards as well as the websites developed for Mercury Processing Services International and Boranka, the largest afforestation campaign in Croatia on which they worked together with the Croatian Scout Association and the agency Imago Ogilvy.
With this nomination, the agency joined the ranks of global agencies such as MediaMonks, Resno, ueno and Active Theory, which have been dominating these lists for years. Grubišić emphasized that the nomination itself came as a surprise, but was not completely unexpected: “I always say that the people we have in the team are brutal specialists and that there is nothing they can’t design and create, and this nomination just proves this. I knew we would get to compete for the agency of the year once, but I really didn’t think it would come that fast.”
Voting for the Awwwards Agency of the Year is open until January 10, and you can cast your vote for Bornfight at the annual.awwwards.com website.
