For the second year in a row IAA Serbia (International Advertising Association – Serbian Chapter) is organizing the Effie Festival in Serbia. This year the festival will have a total of 22 competition categories: products and services (8) and special awards (14), taking into account the marketing activities carried out between 1 January and 31 December 2017.
Some of the most prominent marketing experts are part of the jury for Effie awards, including president of the jury Srđan Bogosavljević from Ipsos Adria, and vice-president of the jury Jelena Šarenac from Henkel.
The Organizing Committee manages the entire Effie program and oversees all of its segments from entries, over education, to organization of ceremonies and other activities.
The organizers expect that this year there will again be a great interest for the Effie competition, especially considering the increased number of competition categories.
“Given the fact that in the first year we had great quality entries, I expect that this year we will award the Gold Effie, because we all have more knowledge and experience in the competition. The novelties in relation to the previous year include individual categories, but also the jury enlargement, in accordance with the guidelines of Effie Worldwide. Last year, out of a total of 44 reported works, eight were awarded with two silver and six bronze trophies” said Jelena Ivanović, Executive Director of IAA Serbia.
First time the Effie Awards Festival was organized in Serbia was last year. With this contest, Serbia joined as the 44th country in which Effie is organized. Effie Awards are globally known among advertisers and agencies as awards that emphasize the effectiveness of communications, ie those that recognize all forms of communication that contribute to the success of brands.
Last year Effie awards went to: Vip Mobile, Grand Black’n’Easy, Grand coffee Gold, Schweppes, Rosa, Mini Mini plazma, UniCredit and Raiffeisen bank.
