New data from the research firm Hub Entertainment Research suggest that the habits of TV watching are at the turning point. Conquering Content Survey says that 52 percent of US television viewers watch their favorite shows over a digital source, such as Netflix.
In 2014, about 31 percent of viewers watched television content over a digital source, of which 14 percent were on Netflix platform, while most of them watched television over traditional channels.

The research, in fact, shows that about 57 percent of the audience admitted that they first discovered their favorite show on digital television, and later regularly followed it over traditional television.
A bit more in favor of digital television are the results of Accenture’s research in April. Of the 26,000 Internet users across the globe included in the survey, 23 percent prefer to follow traditional TV. A year earlier, there were 52 percent of them.
