It’s a great pleasure and privilege to support Woman.Comm Conference and meet with women whose work contributed to shaping our industry. In the company of women who oblige you to excellence, I would focus on what we women have to offer to the market of communication.
Women in marketing are not new, especially in the domain of relations with clients, business, organization, media relations – but there are fewer of them in creative and leadership positions, and this is something we need to work on.
There are various theories (evolutionary, genetic, biological) that try to explain the success or superiority of women in marketing that are based on empathy, focusing on the details, placing the problem in the correct context and the like.
What I believe distinguishes women is their persistence and fanatical endurance, and, something which is confirmed by the very name of our calling – communication. This is a natural environment for women.
We at Publicis One believe that Woman.Comm Conference will highlight the profiles of successful women in management positions in the creative industries, demonstrate the importance of diversity of ideas and managerial styles regardless of gender, and will encourage women to want and aim for more – and to support each other in realizing their ambitions. We think this is important, and that’s why we support the Woman.Comm.
I am convinced that the business environment, which recognizes the value of diversity in gender, will take advantage of the talents of women, and thereby gain added quality in creativity and thinking – and women today in our industry will serve as an inspiration to future generations of successful and strong women.
